Texo Terms of Service
Draft for legal review. Not yet in effect.
Effective date: [NEED: launch date]
Last updated: October 13, 2026
The short version
- Texo is an AI agent for your household. It reads what you send and helps you keep track of what needs doing.
- AI can make mistakes. Check important dates, amounts and instructions against the original before you rely on them.
- Texo never pays anyone or moves money, and nothing goes on your list until someone taps Save.
- You own what you send. You give us permission to use it only to run Texo for you.
- You must be 18 or older. Subscriptions are billed and cancelled through the App Store or Google Play.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Abba Agency [NEED: legal form, e.g. LLC, and state of formation] (“Abba Agency”, “we”, “us”), the company that owns and operates Texo, about your use of the Texo apps, the web app at app.texoai.co, and the website at texoai.co (together, “Texo”). By creating an account or using Texo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Texo.
1. What Texo is
Texo is an AI agent for household life. You send it photos and text, like school flyers, forms, schedules, bills and messages. It reads them, tells you what matters and what to do, suggests items for your household’s list, drafts things for you to send yourself, and answers questions about what you’ve shared with it. Texo uses an AI model from a third-party provider (see the Privacy Policy).
Texo is for personal and household use.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children can’t have Texo accounts.
- You sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone number. Keep control of that number. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give us accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Your household
- You can create a household or join one by invitation. Everyone in a household can see the household’s conversation with Texo, including photos anyone sent, and its saved list.
- Only invite people you trust with that information. Household owners can remove people, which ends their access from then on. It doesn’t erase what they already saw.
- Only the person who added an item can edit it. Any member can mark an item done or say who’s handling it.
- Texo doesn’t settle disagreements between household members, including custody or family disputes, and isn’t responsible for how members use what they see.
4. Subscriptions and billing
[NEED: confirm the launch plans and whether a free tier or trial exists before these Terms take effect]
- Paid plans in the iPhone and Android apps are bought and billed only through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The store charges the payment method on your store account.
- Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep paid features until the end of the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
- Prices are shown in the store before you buy. If a price goes up, you’ll be told in advance and can cancel before it applies to you.
- [NEED: web billing terms, if plans are ever sold on app.texoai.co]
5. Your content
- You own what you send to Texo. You give us a limited permission to store, process and transmit it, including sending it to our AI provider, only to run Texo for you and your household.
- We never use your content to train AI models. We don’t sell it or license it to anyone.
- Only send things you have the right to share. If something you send includes other people’s personal information, you’re responsible for having a good reason to share it with Texo and your household.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Texo to:
- break the law, or store or share content you don’t have the right to share
- harass, track or monitor another adult without their knowledge and consent
- try to get into another household’s information, or test, probe or break Texo’s security (if you find a security problem, please tell us at [NEED: contact email, e.g. legal@texoai.co])
- try to make Texo ignore its rules, including by hiding instructions in photos or messages
- copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer Texo, or overload it with automated requests
- send malware or anything meant to damage Texo or other people
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
7. Intellectual property
Texo, including its software, design, logos, the Texo name and the woven icons, belongs to Abba Agency and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Texo for your household while your account is open. They don’t give you any other rights in Texo. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
8. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who helps us run Texo, and how to delete your data. In short: each household has its own private Texo, your family’s data is never used to train AI, and we never sell it or show you ads.
9. AI-specific provisions
Texo’s replies, extracted dates, times, amounts, action steps and drafts are produced by AI. They can be incomplete or wrong. Texo is designed to say when it can’t read something instead of guessing, but it can still miss or misread things.
- Check important dates, amounts, account numbers and instructions against the original before you act on them, especially for bills, money, medical, legal, school and safety matters.
- Read every draft before you send it. You’re the sender.
- Texo is a helper. It doesn’t replace your own judgment, and it isn’t professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise).
- Texo never pays or moves money. It may tell you how, where and by when to pay. Any payment is made by you, outside Texo.
- Nothing is saved to your list until someone in your household taps Save.
- Texo doesn’t send messages, invites or emails for you today. If we add features that act outside your household, each action will need your approval first.
- Some features are coming later (for example calendar connections, reminders and a digest). They’ll be covered by these Terms when they launch, and we’ll tell you about anything that changes.
10. Text messages
You sign in with a one-time code sent by text message to your phone number. Today we send only sign-in codes. We don’t send marketing texts. If you turn on text digests (coming later, with Texo Plus), you’ll see the exact terms first and agree with a separate tap. Reply STOP to end them or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers aren’t responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Third-party services and links
Texo relies on service providers, including an AI model provider, hosting and sign-in providers, and Apple and Google for app distribution and billing. They’re listed in the Privacy Policy. Texo may show links that appear in what you send (for example a sign-up link on a flyer). We don’t control other websites and aren’t responsible for them. Features that connect other services (such as Google Calendar) are coming later and will only work if you turn them on.
12. Disclaimers
TEXO IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T PROMISE THAT TEXO WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, ABBA AGENCY AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIERS WON’T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, MISSED DEADLINES, LATE FEES OR OTHER FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF TEXO OR YOUR RELIANCE ON AI OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT TEXO IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR [NEED: fixed amount, e.g. US$50]. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CAN’T BE LIMITED BY LAW.
14. Indemnification
If you use Texo in a way that breaks these Terms or the law, and that leads to a claim against Abba Agency, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows. This doesn’t apply to claims caused by our own fault.
15. Ending your account
- You can stop using Texo at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or on the web at app.texoai.co/delete-account. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a store subscription. Cancel that in the App Store or Google Play.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other people or Texo. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first.
- Sections 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 19 continue after your account ends.
16. Changes to Texo and these Terms
Texo will change as we improve it. If we make a meaningful change to these Terms, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Texo after that, the new Terms apply.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [NEED: state, e.g. Texas], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer protection law of the place you live says otherwise. Before filing a claim, please email us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. [NEED: dispute resolution for legal review: binding individual arbitration (for example under the American Arbitration Association’s Consumer Rules) with a class-action waiver and small-claims carve-out, or the state and federal courts of a named county]
18. Apple
If you got Texo from Apple’s App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Texo or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and isn’t responsible for any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
19. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Abba Agency about Texo.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we don’t enforce a part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- Assignment. You can’t transfer these Terms to someone else. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of Texo, and we’ll tell you if we do.
- Events beyond our control. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers, natural disasters or network failures.
